Kulalu Camp
The little camp that cares
Kulalu camp is perfect for a quick getaway, a romantic weekend, or family fun and adventure. Situated in a remote part of Tsavo on the banks of the Galana River, the camp consists of five spacious luxury en-suite tents, a mess area for dining and relaxing, along with a well-stocked bar offering panoramic views of the river and the Lali Hills beyond.
We have successfully rewilded the camp environs, including local iconic indigenous riverine acacias, doum palm, desert rose and sausage trees, which help keep camp that extra few degrees cooler in the shade.
The Camp
Our environmentally conscious camp offers a home away from home comfort in the wild, constructed in harmony with the wonderful environment in which we are privileged to have our little camp and offers a safe and comfortable place to quietly witness the wildlife, escape and absorb nature at its best.
The Tents
Kulalu is a small intimate camp with five luxury tents on the banks of the Galana River, each spacious canvas tent has an en-suite bathroom, with hot showers in the evening or on request, a veranda with a relaxing daybed and offers a front-row seat to the wildlife action on the other side of the river.
The Experience
We have a wealth of resident and seasonal wildlife in and around the Camp as well as the neighbouring Galana Wildlife Conservancy and Tsavo East National Park, we encourage game drives in both of these protected areas to view some of the game you may have already witnessed from the camp.
