Kulalu Camp lies just 110 kilometres west of the Indian Ocean and the coastal towns of Malindi and Watamu. A leisurely drive of just over an hour along the recently tarmac famous Tsavo road will deliver our guests to the secret splendour of Kulalu Camp, a bush home, resting on the shady banks of the Galana River looking over the Galana Wildlife Conservancy.

The Watha people are just one of the Galana tribes and are situated nearest to the Kulalu Camp area. Traditionally known as elephant hunters, these people were sadly displaced with the creation of the Tsavo National Park. These skilled trackers some of whom are now employed to protect the wildlife, are excellent at spotting and understanding nature. Sadly, many of this nomadic tribe are forced into sustenance farming, which is a far cry from their traditions and roaming way of life, in harmony with their environment and wildlife.
